its finally on sale
after almost a year of world prowling around the MFA
they have published the long awaited handbook titled
a guide to the collection of the museum of fine arts, boston
it's a catalogue of the highlights of the museums acquisitions
the book has examples of american european african asian native american art.
there are illustrations of the finest paintings sculptures furniture
clothing bones antiquities flotsam & jetsam
famous names like picasso, rubens, van gogh, rauschenberg, renoir, warhol,
o'keefe, bourke white & certainly john singer sergeant are represented
its full of pictures of everything the institution owns & shows
& I was asked to provide photography of many of its most prestigious galleries & displays
the cover & all the photography in the front chapter of the book was done by the studio
we had complete access to the bowels & public spaces
it was a huge undertaking for us but an entirely tremendous education & thrill for me & my staff
so now every time you go to the museum you can see my photography
& I can finally say my work is in the museum
